Mo-Sys Empowers Content Creators to Deliver AR Graphics

Mo-Sys Engineering is empowering content creators to deliver augmented reality (AR) graphics to the broadcast industry as part of its drive to reduce the complexity of AR content creation. Industry leaders in Virtual Production, camera tracking and remote camera head technology, Mo-Sys is supporting content creators to enter the professional broadcast market with the technology and training to harness the power of Epic Games’ Unreal Engine for more dramatic, impactful AR for sports and outdoor broadcasting.

For the high-speed action of E1 boat racing at the ‘Visit Qatar E1 Doha GP’, Mo-Sys supported Badass Studios to deliver real-time AR graphics for remote-operated aerial shots overlooking the Corinthia Yacht Club on The Pearl Island. Mo-Sys combined the power of VP Pro with their encoded camera head data and Badass Studio XR’s boat telemetry data to create these broadcast-quality visuals.

“The Mo-Sys equipment helped us to provide a cutting-edge live tracking solution under challenging conditions, delivering results in record time,” said Rosemary Lokhorst, CEO of Badass Studio XR. “They provided invaluable initial project support and guidance on-site, ensuring seamless execution at the Visit Qatar E1 Doha GP. Their expertise and commitment were instrumental in Badass Studio XR delivering top quality AR and Virtual broadcasting assets to our customer.”

Traditionally, AR graphics required specialized expertise in 3D content creation, camera tracking, and sports broadcasting. Mo-Sys reduces these complexities, leveraging Unreal Engine to make 3D AR content creation more accessible. This Mo-Sys initiative is set to inject fresh creativity into broadcast graphics, promising more engaging and immersive content across sports, news, and entertainment.

“We’re proud to be empowering a new generation of content creators, helping them to bring their creativity into the world of broadcast AR,” said Michael Geissler, CEO of Mo-Sys Engineering. “By combining our expertise, technology and software with the capabilities of Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, we're opening up new possibilities for innovative, high-quality AR graphics in broadcasting.”

Mo-Sys will showcase this latest drive to reduce the complexity of AR from April 6th – April 9th at NAB Show 2025 in Las Vegas (booth N3039 in the North Hall), where it will be presenting its comprehensive packages of remote heads, encoding systems, VP Pro software, VP Academy training, and project support.
